Why The Journey?

“Life is a journey, not a destination.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

If you have stumbled across this blog you may be wondering what is the significance of the title The Journey? The simple answer is one of Satan’s greatest ploys in our life is to get us so busy, and so focused on particular destinations that we fail to enjoy the things God wants to do now. For instance you may feel a call to ministry, and so you say well I need to go to Bible College, and maybe you do. However if your not careful you always be saying when I finish Bible college I’ll. lead people to Christ, have a great prayer life…

Friends God wants you to stop and smell the roses, and enjoy the blessings of where he has you right now. I often hear unmarried men talk about marriage as if it is a prerequisite for being used by God, and I always challenge that they have more time, and flexibility to invest in ministry then they ever will when their married. So that is the point of this blog topics on family, prayer, spiritual growth, etc. that will help us live our best life for God on The Journey of life.

“The Journey
Ours is a journey authored by God
None else has traveled the path we trod

To others it seems but a winding path
It doesn’t check out according to math

But they haven’t seen the invisible pen
Who’s stories exceed the thoughts of men

Our journey will end with victory won
The author proclaiming my children, well done

-Will Fowler
