I love you, I love you, don’t leave me here to die.
As I sit here in darkness I wonder what is to happen to me. Will she keep me? Will I live to see light? I want her to know that I love her. I want to shout, ” I love you, I love you, don’t leave me here to die. Someone hear my cry!” But as usual I’m not heard. I grow stronger, but I will not live to use my strength.
Most babies fall asleep to their mother reading them a story, but I fall asleep to her crying. Many have died, but I still have a little hope to live. I wish there was someone to tell her how I feel and that I’m alive. If only someone could hear my cry! [Read more →]

Tag Clouds and Bible Study
I wanted to share something that has been a blessing to me in finding context when I’m studying a book or chapter of the bible. Its been said, “Text, without context, is pretext.” meaning we can make a single verse, or a few words say whatever we want. So we have to consider every book in its context such as is this old or new testament, what group was being written to, etc. One useful tool in determining a chapters keywords is by using words counts. That is how many times a particular word has been used.
Enter modern technology and we have the inventions of a Tag Cloud- which basically represents graphically word counts of frequently used words. I’m a very visual person so this is much more valuable than just words on a page. The bible software I used Logos is what turned me on to this concept as it does this while your studying. That got me to thinking I wander I could use an online tag cloud service to accomplish this. Enter http://www.wordle.net by going there, and pasting in a chapter or text from my favorite bible program or website I get a quick, visual overview of the chapters message. Here are some examples:
